Company Overview:

Haystack Associates, Inc. was established in 1989 by Denise Simons as an information management/training consulting firm in the Seattle area.  Denise has over twenty years of experience in the fields of Document Retention, Information Management, Office Automation, and Training.

Haystack's consulting experience includes providing services to government agencies, non-profit organizations, fortune 500 corporations, and large and small professional firms throughout the United States and in Asia.

Information management consulting experience includes analysis, design, and project management during implementation of retention and document management systems incorporating local and wide area networks, document imaging, indexing, and retrieval of information and documents maintained in electronic and paper formats.  Extensive experience in researching national and international legal requirements for documentation and retention of information for a variety of industries including aerospace, transportation, pharmaceutical, hazardous waste management, manufacturing, and commercial.

Customized training materials and classes have been provided on new business processes and Microsoft applications since 1990 incorporating CBT/WBT materials as well as instructor led courses and materials.

Denise also lectures and provides seminars on developing and managing Retention and Vital records programs; Office Automation strategies for information storage and retrieval; Project Management; and was an instructor for seven years at the University of Washington Extension Program on systems analysis and design.  She is a member of ARMA and the Technology Alliance.  Prior to consulting she was the information manager for Hart-Crowser, one of the largest Geo-Technical Engineering firms in the NW.  She attended Western Washington University where she completed her undergraduate studies in history and education and graduate studies in Archives and Records Management in 1983.

Haystack's services are grounded in the philosophy that powerful resources and assets are created when systems are built that effectively manage the information lifecycle and transfer information and knowledge to staff, clients, or customers.
